Special inspection services are provided to verify compliance of certain structural elements to the project’s plans and specifications. These services can be provided by our special inspectors who have undergone certification through the International Code Council (ICC) and the American Welding Society’s (AWS) Certified Welding Inspection Program. Their responsibilities on a project may include the following, within the restraints and under the guidelines as set forth by the International Building Code (IBC):
- Observing the work assigned for conformance with approved design drawings and specifications.
- Furnishing inspection reports to the building official, engineer in responsible charge, construction manager, contractor, and other designated personnel.
- Bringing all discrepancies to the immediate attention of the contractor, and if uncorrected, to the attention of the engineer in responsible charge, construction manager and building official.
