ATEK has the capability to perform most soil, concrete, masonry and hot mix asphalt test methods in house. Laboratory tests are performed in strict accordance with the applicable ASTM, AASHTO or State DOT methods, unless otherwise noted in the project specifications. Our laboratory is accredited by both the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP). Through this program, ATEK’s laboratory is assessed and performs periodic proficiency sample testing, coordinated by AASHTO re:source and the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL). In addition, ATEK’s laboratory utilizes a certified calibration company to calibrate our equipment at least annually and has an in-house QA program that undergoes internal audits to maintain high levels of competence in our testing services.
